A qui profitera la « fenétre démographique » des pays du Maghreb ? Les pays du Maghreb entrent dans la seconde phase de la transition démographique. Les projections démographiques montrent que les taux de dépendance resteront bas pour le quart de siécle prochain, ouvrant ainsi une "fenétre d'opportunité démographique." La question qui se pose désormais est de savoir si cette période sera mise judicieusement a profit ? Nos travaux que si cette fenétre pourrait effectivement améliorer la scolarisation, elle accentuerait en méme temps la compétition dans les marchés du travail et matrimonial

Abstract
Who will benefit from the “demographic window” in the Maghreb? Countries in the Maghreb have now entered the second phase of their demographic transition. Demographic projections show that dependency rates will likely remain low for the next quarter of century, thereby creating a "demographic window of opportunity" during which countries could invest in economic growth. In this context, a key question is whether these countries will effectively capitalize on this opportunity. Results from this study suggest that while this period could well boost schooling, it will likely intensify competition in the job and marriage markets
